Your privacy and security is a huge deal for us at Bereev, weâre constantly exploring different ways to keep you and your data safe at all times. With our latest release, weâre introducing 2 Factor Authentication (also known as 2FA) to your death preparation experience. Letâs start with some quick facts.
What is 2FA?
Itâs the 6 digit verification code that you get via email (or SMS) whenever you try to log in, similar to the TAC code you get with online banking.
Why introduce this?
To add another layer of security on top of your password. This ensures that even if someone else knows your password, they wonât be able to access your account without the verification code.
How does it work?
Whenever you log in to Bereev, weâll send you an email with the 6 digit code. Enter that verification code after your password and youâre in!
Can I disable it?
Yes but we donât recommend it. If you still want to disable 2FA, weâll show you how below.

1 - Login
Go to the Login page as usual and fill up your email and password.
2 - Check Your Email
Weâll send you your 6 digit verification code via email.
3 - Enter Your Verification Code
Copy and paste or manually enter your 6 digit code.
How to disable 2FA?
1 - Go to Settings
Click on your name on the top right corner.
2 - Look for 2FA
Itâs under General Settings.
3 - Disable 2FA
Disable 2FA by clicking on the toggle, orange means enabled while grey means disabled.
